"Perfect for a relaxing all-inclusive short break. We were there in October and the pool areas, which are lovely, were still busy. There is access to the sea though the beach itself is quite stony. The buffet food at the resort is good quality and provided enough variety during the three days we were there that we didn't feel the need to book one of the a la carte restaurants. The hotel offers a bus trip to Cefalu and the town is most definitely worth visiting - you will ant to spend longer...

"This is the best hotel I've experienced in Italy. The location was incredibly central and pretty much ideal. The staff were most attentive and kind, and the room (even though I booked one of their cheaper options) was stylish with many thoughtful touches. My largest regret was that I had only booked 3 nights there; I wish I could have stayed longer. The only area for improvement I could think of is around the breakfast. The selection and quality was amazing, but there was a little confusion...

"Although dated,the facilities were functional and the room was clean Space between the shower and toilet was minimal so someone with mobility problems would need to take extra care. Sadly ,the soundproofing between the room and next door was extremely poor with intrusive noise for some of the late evening Breakfast included a reasonable variety of plentiful food though nothing hot (but it was Continental !) Away from the historical centre but not by much and easily accessed by bus You buy a 2 3...

"Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. Room and hotel very clean. Pool is lovely with a range of seating to suit everyone. Breakfast is excellent both food and saff. Coffee is strong. Lunch and dinner are both delicious, however i think the menus need more of a selection. Pizza and local beers were the highlight. A special mention to Antonio at dinner service. "Porta de Castro was a wonderful stay. The only thing is if you want quiet, the street it is located on is busy and quite a bit of honking. Didn’t bother me, popped in some ear buds at night. The breakfast and staff were amazing!!! I felt very welcomed and the staff helped me with any questions, plus lots of suggestions on what to do in the areas. Very convenient to walk to almost any place, including the train station. "
