"Brilliant staff"

"We stayed at Pinewood Lodge for 7 days split over 2 weeks. The area was lovely , very quiet. There is a number of lodges , each having everything you need from a fridge to a microwave, fresh clean towels and bedding, breakfast croissants were provided which was a nice touch and also some milk- again lovely touch. The beds were fine - slightly uncomfortable, however, given the amount of people who sleep on them this i guess is a given at times. Heating was great, easy to increase or decrease to suite what you need. Would stay again if visiting the area. "

"I wasn’t sure what to expect due to mixed reviews. However I had a ground floor room as requested. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and importantly for me the hairdryer was good. The bathroom had a bath with a shower. The overhead shower was powerfully enough and the water was hot. I wasn’t disturbed by noise, it was peaceful. My tv worked. Kettle was clean. The only downside was my room felt a bit cold. I didn’t ask about the heating, maybe if I had they’d have helped. Breakfast was amazing. No complaints. "

"Everything about our experience has been horrible. The house reeked of cat urine. It was so bad that we could only stand to be in there a few minutes. It also had not been cleaned properly with grease and grime all over the kitchen, the smoke detectors had been removed, the exterior/yard was just mud and creepy old sheds. We could not stay there and ended up booking rooms at a nearby inn and then moving to another nearby rental. We complained immediately to the property manager and they did not respond. The next day they said I had to provide photographic evidence. So we went back to take pictures of the grime, but I can't photograph how badly it smelled. This absolutely ruined our Christmas travels and I am now fighting to get thousands of dollars back. They are now accusing us of actually staying there even though I had provided receipts from the inn and the other rental that I booked. "

"Room was clean and basic with good shower in the bathroom. Relatively small room with dated decor and could do with a refresh. functional and adequate if you just need a bed for the night. Adjoining pub is nice inside with outside terrace and local beer brewed onsight. Quick taxi or 15 minute walk from the centre of Ashby De La Zouch. Really nice engaging staff"

"This hotel is perfect for anyone visiting The Emporium. Everything one needs and only five minutes away. The young lady on reception/bar was really friendly and chatty and was a joy to be served by . "
