Charming B&B in a small village
Comfortable room for single travellers albeit tight on space. Good value compared to others. Good basic breakfast included (not cooked), with ample choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffee, teas, etc. Walking distance from choice of restaurants.

Nicely converted stables tucked away in a lovely position. Although just off the main road, we could not hear the traffic noise. Lovely grounds, peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are conveniently opposite the granary where breakfast was laid out. Great selection for a continental breakfast - cheeses, meats, fruits, cereals, breakfast bars, a variety of breads too. Jean is absolutely lovely. She kept us amused and nothing was too much trouble.

Greeting from host was lovely, room 2 was okay (bed was a bit soft for me), shower lovely, wifi in room was good. Nice to have seating area outside room and under cover. Breakfast room was quirky and loads of choice for breakfast. Places to eat out in evening in town.

Perfect Setting for my Stay
A fantastic setting greeted me along with a wonderful hostess. The room was very tastefully decorated and an extra great touch was having a small table and chairs outside of the room entrance which provided a wonderful dining experience during a warm, Summer evening. The bed allowed a restful night's sleep with ease of parking and a picturesque, surrounding village providing a great route to walk around.

Jean has a unique property and she is passionately dedicated to client comfort and goes above and beyond to ensure the guests are extended the very best courtesy and care. The local village of Botley has several dining options, local pubs and a small supermarket. Otters Green is restful, quaint and the perfect setting to chill out.

We arrived in Southampton in a particularly freezing cold mid December. We are expats and we’re back doing a lot of travel to visit relatives. So we had travelled far and it was freezing. We were greeted upon arrival by Jean the owner of the delightful property. Jean was very welcoming and friendly as was the room. It was so warm and comfortable. A real home from home. Breakfast was also wonderful. Very close to pretty village, pubs, shops and food. Would love to visit again when the weather is better suited to exploring the lovely gardens.

We had an excellent stay at Otters Green. Wonderful property, excellent host and extremely good value. Jean was amazing. The room was comfortable, cozy and very clean. The little details in the room were a very nice touch. Very pleasant breakfast, 'Continental' but an extensive choice to suit everyone. The garden areas are well kept and available for guests to enjoy. The 3 main rooms all have an outside table and chairs for guests to use. Easy to find using Jean's directions. Private parking. Just a short 5 minute walk took you to a varied choice of pubs and places to eat. Loved it, thank you Jean!

A lovelly guest house in beautiful gardens, just away from the traffic but close enough to local shops/pubs etc. Land lady Jean was great fun and would try and do anything for her guests. Thoroughly recommend guest house.

There is nothing to dislike about Otters Green. We have been travelling from Paignton, Devon to Fareham in Hampshire for over 3 yrs when visiting my wife's parents staying in Hotels, Pubs & B&B's every 6 wks or so. AT LAST we have found this gem, "Otters Green" and our host Jean was the cherry on the cake! Jean was the perfect host making us feel very important. We had everything in our room we needed more than at our previous stays elsewhere. The continental breakfast in the Granary more than set us up for the morning so much to choose from, all fresh, we sat outside of our room under the covered patio with our rescue Lab of eight weeks, Ralphy. Prior to us leaving we asked Jean to show us the self catering Chalet. Straight away we booked this up for our stay end of March 2022. Many thanks Otters Green but more so Jean for her continuous efforts when making us so welcome! Looking forward to our second stay late March. G,J & Ralphy xxx
