"We had a lovely time in Eastbourne. Plenty to see and do. Hotel was just in the right position. Easy to access transport. Room was cleaned every day to a high standard. Comfortable bed slept very well and was not noisy at night at all. Food good and staff lovely."

"We had been to the hotel before, so knew what to expect. We had booked a double sea view, and that was exactly what we got, with walk in shower, all facilities for the disabled, even though I never told them, however I did mention that I had a blue badge though, so whether they picked this up I thank them. The food was excellent both breakfast and dinner. Most of the staff were very friendly and professional. The one lift broke down on the first day, but we were shown the staff lift if we needed it. The main lift was working by the early evening."

"Older hotel in need of refurbishment. Staff was minimal, but very friendly and helpful. Off-season so not a lot of activity. Hotel was otherwise quiet and everything worked. "

"The Hotel is wonderful with as many of the original features on display. The rooms are spacious and in keeping with a period hotel. Excellent bathroom, comfy bed. The windows are old single glazed sash windows and rattle in the wind. However a couple of stratigicly placed teaspoons stopped the rattles. Breakfast is amazing something for everyone. The staff are amazing as the guest is their most important focus. All reflected in the price. Top marks"

"Lovely property .. great location in heart of Rye. We stayed in a cosy room .. it was fab, beautiful decor and great facilities. Great breakfast nice bar. Staff were great but in particular a great duo on reception ( didn’t get names) but a blonde lady so accommodating allowing us to leave bags before checking in, so we could explore Rye and an Australian male that impressed us in returning a missed phone call before arriving and ensuring we had a pleasant stay. Thank you both credit to the George. "

"There was no where to park, although there was parking it was all taken, maybe because I arrived late at around 11.30pm. Could do with a bit of updating, it was clean and comfortable."

"We enjoyed our stay at Bannatyne spa hotel. The executive double room was spacious and relaxing with a queen sized bed. The spa/leasure facilitates were very good. Just a shame we had to pay extra for that. "
