I originally come from the Stroud area and know the hotel well. As we were visiting family we didn’t eat at the hotel so we aren’t able to comment on the full experience. The setting is great as was the view from our hotel room. Would we go back? Of course, we never got a chance to visit Winstons.

The room, toilet and bath facilities were clean to a very good standard and the decor was tasteful and restful. We had a lovely view over the Nailsworth Valley. Wish we could have stayed longer- our bed was wonderful. (But everywhere we went, the toilets seats were what the US std was probably in the past. Elongated seats are definitely more sanitary as not all public places included paper shields.) Loved the size of the shower. Would have loved to have dinner there but we were meeting up with hubby's sons and their families for dinner at a carvery.
