"My wife and I drove the coast of Maine, from Portland, up to the West Quoddy Head Light. The overnight stay we had at Barncastle, was easily the best stay we had all trip. Between the beautiful grounds it sat on, the staff being so wonderful and accommodating, as well as the meal we at there, I'm not sure why you wouldn't make this a stop while in Maine. They have a full bar, as well as a restaurant. The chef, also part owner of Barncastle, must have been sent from heaven. This man and his team...

"Great motel. A bit pricey for the unit, but because it’s walkable to the water and through the town it was great. I would like a bigger sink area and softer pillows. Can’t complain though. Pizza and great bar on one side, and lobster restaurant on the other. Only needed the car to drive to Acadia National Park which was a quick 20 minutes. "
