"Lane Alley is lovely, it’s in a good location near Hayashi Department Store and the Confucius Temple and is a great example of a restored mid-century Tainan house. The original ‘star glass’ windows are beautiful and the coffee every morning is much appreciated. The service is also very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Because it’s a house, not a hotel, not every room has its own bathroom. I bet all the rooms are great, but we were happy we paid a little extra for the in-room...

"I was glad we had a mandarin speaker with us to call the proprietor when we arrived as we didnt know what to do when everything was locked up. But once we called and he arrived, it was an awesome place to stay. Loved the location in historic Tainan (only street parking a couple blocks away available) and all four of us found it very roomy with a nice shared sitting area/kitchen outside our private room. And free snacks upon arrival. I hope to stay there again some day!"
