For a day of family thrills, hit the rides at one of Ireland’s largest theme parks, the potato-themed Tayto Park in Ashbourne, County Meath. If you’d prefer to leave the kids to it, Tayto Park also has some beautiful woodland walking trails, where you can take a relaxed stroll with views over the farmland safari and the rolling Irish countryside beyond. Open every day from April to August and on weekends from September to December, Tayto Park near Ashbourne makes a great alternative day out in the heart of County Meath.
