"Lovely Japanese style hotel with friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed the complimentary Japanese breakfasts daily that were delivered to our room at a time we chose. Rooms were immaculate and cleaning done daily with fresh towels. Enjoyed looking at the koi fish and beautiful views of the pagoda from the rooftop garden. Very convenient to train station and restaurants. Highly recommend! "

"Great budget hotel near the JR station. Checked in and out using the kiosks. Rooms are small, but easily accommodated 3. There's a connected 7-11. There was an unexpected city tax (200 yen a night I think?), but maybe it was stated and I don't see it. Overall a good choice if you're on a budget and will be spending a lot of time outside."

"The Kyoto Century Hotel is a fantastic establishment. Staff are friendly, attentive and courteous. Rooms have king sized bed, mini fridge and the hotel provide yukata. The only snag we had was with the check-in process. Check-in is at 3pm and the hotel uses a self check-in computer kiosk (there is only 3 of them). It's a little overwhelming having only 3 kiosks and all the hotel guests trying to check-in all at once. But staff are there to help streamline the process as best as they can. Not the end of the world. You are however able to check your luggage in with the hotel before check-in time if you arrive early and your luggage will be waiting for you in your room. Hotel location is minutes walk away from the Kyoto Station and shopping district. We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Kyoto Century Hotel. "

"I loved my stay at Comfort Hotel. The room was very spacious and it was so affordable. My room faced the train station but I didn't hear any of the trains coming or going. This hotel offered free snacks and breverages at the huge lounge downstairs. Wonderful after a day of sightseeing around Kyoto. They also offer a free lending library. So unique. I loved the location too. This hotel is right across the street from the Toji Station. Very convient if you want to go to Nara Park or Arashiyama district. There's a great grocery store right down the street as well as the To-ji Temple. I loved everything about this hotel and will definitely come back to it again if I ever go back to Kyoto. It is by far the best hotel out of the 4 hotels that I stayed at in Japan."
