Jose and Delfina were WONDERFUL! They made us homemade salsa (the best we have ever had!) and guacamole several times, cut us fresh coconuts to drink and eat and were there for anything we needed or to answer any questions we had. We set up massages at the house and several excursions through Akumal Direct and everything...

"Beautiful property and nice, quiet neighborhood. For such a beautiful home, I would have expected some basics like cleaning supplies, sponge, paper towels, toilet paper, also salt/pepper, oils for cooking, etc. The water was not safe drinking water and purifier made it taste salinated and terrible. Also, showers need to be cleaned better as they are full of mold. Pool needed to be cleaned and the nearby gym equipment was all broken. The transportation system to the beach does not include this...

"I highly recommend Casa Azanik. We had a party of 7 family members, but we could have accommodated so many more. The booking process was extremely efficient, and the concierge helped us book shuttles and activities. The manager and the daily caretakers helped us navigate Akumal wonderfully. Although we did eat at some local restaurants, our favorite meals were the ones prepared for us at the villa. The pool area right on the beach made snorkeling, kayaking, and relaxing in the pool and the ocean...

"We were stunned by the beauty inside and out. Well maintained and comfortable. The short walk to the lagoon was well marked and easy to follow. Snorkeling there was one of our favorite activities. It was farther to town than we had anticipated, and as we had 16 in our family group, it was a challenge to get around, but we quickly learned to use the local taxis and buses. The on-site personnel were quiet, unobtrusive, friendly and professional. We requested that they cook several dinners...

"We had a large group and chose Casa Vida for the bedrooms, large living room & rooftop area. All the rooms were as described and the pictures were accurate. It’s a really nice place. A/C worked well and hosts were very attentive to all our needs. We had several places to eat quality food within a 5 minute walk, including a market. There’s also a grocery store not too far away. I’d recommend staying here if you’re looking at places around this area."
