Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group hotels in Upper West Side, New York

"The hotel reminds me of the Overlook Hotel in The Shining with the old carpet, elevator and accents. That being said, the room and bathroom are charming on their own. During our stay, our AC unfortunately broke down at 11:30 PM. The staff happily moved us from 3rd to 10th flr and it was the best room!!! It had 2 windows and more real estate. Staff were excellent. The neighborhood is so quiet and a perfect mix of tourists and locals. Food from Nice Matin was delicious (get the package if you can). i would rebook this hotel again next time I’m in NYC. "

"Amazing experience and wonderful people"

"Stayed for 10 days for a dance intensive. The hotel is centrally located near a subway station and had target, gelato, Starbucks, and the Lincoln center all within walking distance. The hotel bathroom had chipping paint, and staining. Water pressure was good. The beds were comfortable, and the A-c worked. When it didn’t a couple times maintenance was quick to come resolve it. The carpet in our room was split and we caught our feet on it a few times. Having said all that we would stay here again. The staff was great (Disney level customer service), and the hotel and rooftop pool area and bar were great with city views. The pool is on the smaller side, but enough. The cabanas and lounging outdoor area were awesome! Next time we’re in New York we definitely will be staying here again. "

"Nice and cozy and the location was great. Not a fancy place, but the price is good, the staff is nice and it's clean and located close to trains. Plus, it's quiet and out of the way, and still accessible to everything."
