"Star Lodge is a little way out of the centre of Utrecht but is conveniently located close to a bus line which takes you into the centre in a few minutes. The rooms are relatively basic but are large, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful, although they did forget to tell us about the honesty bar until we were about to leave. "The staff was extremely friendly. However there seemed to be a great deal of confusion when it came to how much to actually charge me for tourist tax, parking, and service fees…which was a little annoying. Also we ordered food from the red to our room. The staff said that they could, and would bring it to our room. When the order was ready they called for us to go and get it. Also refused to give us utensils to eat with…"

"Very good clean rooms and very friendly and helpful service. The area nearby is quite lively late at night but the hotel has earplugs in the rooms if needed. Note there is no restaurant or breakfast room. There are good options nearby but you need to wait until after 9am at the weekend "
