"Nicely renovated room with balcony. Despite being on second floor, great view. Well-appointed outside seating. Within easy walking distance of train station and beach. Good buffet breakfast. Friendly staff who made every effort to help me as my Italian is basic. The location can be noisy as trains can be heard and sounds can carry from the hallway - but the latter happens with most hotels."

"We arrived at the hotel a day late due to a flight cancellation and the front desk staff could not have been more warm and welcoming after what became nearly a 48 hour journey for my sister and me. They actually upgraded us to a sea view room at their newly renovated sister hotel which is right next door. MH Hotel Varazze.
