The outside vibes are a bit scary but the room was clean and appeared to have recently been redecorated, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning functioning well. There was even a microwave, kettle, toaster and plates/cutlery to suit limited self-catering. I was a bit surprised at the lack of blanket or quilt - the bed comes with a sheet only. "Really lovely place. Welcoming, clean, feels new and so quiet inside the apartments. Right by the creek, could probably catch a nice red bream or trevally by throwing a line in! Very central, can walk to stadium, town centre, pubs, clubs and restaurants. Secure parking and secure building, felt very safe staying here. Slept very well, comfortable beds and furniture. "We had an amazing stay at Castle Crest Motel. The staff were great. The room was not fancy, but it was clean, up-to-date, and well maintained. The location is an easy walk to the Strand and the beach. If I return to Townsville in the future (I hope I do!) I will definitely book here again. "
