"Our stay was great. We ended up with a room that fits up to 6, and it was so nice to have room to move around unlike other Tokyo hotel rooms. The washer/dryer and kitchenette came in really handy. "We used this hotel has our home base for our two week trip to Tokyo. It was comfortable for my family of 4 with two twin beds and a bunk bed. We had a little table and small kitchen. It’s a small space but allowed us to relax at night and cook breakfast in the morning. My kids are 10 and 7. That might be the upper limit for the family room. It would have been too small if they were much older. I know the hotel was full and located in busy Shinjuku but we could hardly hear a sound from outside!...

"The area is conveniently located five minute walk from the train station or bus line. Area is very clean. Has a self block up for storage for Luggage if needed. Check in was very easy although they are very strict on no early check-in and no late checkout..it is a self check-in and Check-out only, only cleaning staff on site."

"The facility was very clean, rooms are spacious (compared to typical hotel Rooms in Japan), and a 7 eleven at the bottom floor. Rooms are VERY quiet despite being located in a metropolitan area (Tokyo station east location). 6 washing machines and dryers available to reduce luggage. Only issue are other patrons using multiple machines and dryers but that’s not Mimaru’s fault. I would definitely stay here on our next trip to Japan. Worth the added cost of an apartment hotel, well worth it...

"Absolutely love this hotel! We will be coming back here on our next Japan trip. It was incredibly clean, beautiful interior, the staff were excellent and so sweet, and most spoke english. They were very welcoming. We felt very safe as women traveling alone. The room had storage under the bed which is incredibly convenient. Also had laundry and a microwave. Plus it was about a 7 minute walk from Ryogoku station, so we were able to travel around very easily. I very very high recommend!!! We LOVED...

Nice but details like coffee pods lack

"The location was nice. The staff was very friendly and nice as well. There are plenty of restaurants within the hotel and just steps away from the back entrance which was so convenient after a long day os sightseeing. What I did not like was the hot hallways to your room are with no ac and it seems they turn off the AC to the rooms in the wee hours because it would be so warm in the middle of the night and the thermostat would not respond. But during the day, it seemed to be fine. Also, they are skimpy with coffee pods and do not leave them in your room! They have a way to scan for them using a QR code but it did not work. My husband went out to find a housekeeper and asked for a few which we received 4 so we used 2 that morning and later that day when we returned housekeeping had taken two pods back so we had zero again for the following morning! So for a 6 night stay for two rooms we basically had two pods to use! So cheap about that it was flabbergasting! Anyways, aside from being cheap with small stuff like that everything else was nice. "

Enjoyed our stay

"When we first arrived at this hotel, just coming off a long trip in New Zealand and Australia where hotels were more similar to what we were used to, I was a bit depressed by the overall size of the hotel and our room. But as we got used to things we felt more and more comfortable. The location of this hotel was very great - close to a number of train stations, close to the Ginza shopping places and to plenty of eating places and restaurants. The beds were small but adequate. Bed linen and towels were decent. Front desk services were attentive and good. There is a self laundry facility which was very desirable. There is a sitting/eating area at the front lobby which was convenient and well maintained. For a 3-star hotel we really did not expect luxury and were quite happy with it! "

"Shinagawa Prince has excellent services and facilities. An envelope had arrived for us in advance, and the staff gave it to us as soon as we checked in. The hotel has multiple shopping and dining option, has a Seven Eleven for all our last minute food or toiletry needs. It's within 5 minutes of walking to a major train station which is connected to several shopping malls. It's been a great experience living at Shinagawa Prince Hotel."
