"I stayed two nights in Castleton in mid-November amid some early snow which made the village and the walks around the hills stunning. But the real treat came after a long day of hiking when I was able to return to a cozy pub to have a hot meal, a pint of ale and a nice read by a roaring fire. "The staff were super friendly & the food excellent. They have just started serving breakfast which served in a lovely refurbished room. The pub had a great ambiance with a lot of locals calling in for a drink. Our room was warm, a good size & pleasantly furnished. We will definitely stay there again. "
