"we had a very nice large twin room for our 1 night stay and it was really comfy. the only negative was there was only a net curtain up at the bathroom window and as it was at the front of the hotel there was something of a privacy issue.but that aside we would stay there again."

"A large hotel set in its own grounds. We had a comfortable double room on the ground floor. It was a bright room with a bay window looking out onto the courtyard and across to stables bar. We had breakfast included and it was self service, there was a large choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt. You could help yourself to a continental or full English. "The hotel was lovely with a great bar and restaurant, and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. It is situated right in the centre of Richmond with easy access to all amenities. My only complaints are that there was a lack of hotel parking, and the room needed a bit of tlc (the ceiling and carpet were worn and one of the windows was cracked and broken so you couldn't open it)."

"We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was first class, as were the staff. I have two comments about our room (8) - the pillows were a bit lumpy and if we had occasion to stay again, I’d request not to stay in this room because of the two steep steps down into the bathroom. Younger folk may have no problem with them but being that much older and having creaky knees, it wasn’t easy to negotiate them. Thankfully there was a very sturdy rail to hold onto. "Stayed for a few nights over a 2 week period for business purposes. All the staff were amazing and very warm & welcoming. The rooms were very luxurious with incredible views of the Yorkshire countryside. Food was fantastic and the ambience was lovely. "

"This is a fabulous hotel in a great location in Leeds really close to the station. The staff were brilliant we were impressed with their customer service. The room was big, comfy and very clean. A really lovely place to stay we only wished we could have stayed longer. We would definitely go back and stay there again. :-)"

Great Hotel in a Brilliant Location

"Great stay at this excellently located hotel in Sheffield city centre. Only 10 minutes walk from the train station. Upgraded to a junior suite, which was spacious, had great views and a lovely shower and separate bath in the bathroom. Good breakfast whichwas buffet style, with everything from ceral and fruit, to a full english with danish pastries if you are not too full. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The spa facilities were also excellent."

"Great hotel. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Impressive period building with new additions. Our room looked out onto the road but never noticed any noise at night. We did a one day course in the cookery school which was excellent, would highly recommend. Great location for exploring York. Parking at the station long stay car park is a much cheaper option than the nearer NCP (only £15 for a long weekend). Nice spa and pretty quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Really good breakfast."
