"This is a no-nonsense hotel, centric, about a minute's walk from the beach, and in the center of the tourist area. Therefore, if you are looking for a place that is quiet all the time, especially at night when most people are out having fun, then this is not your place. "It was a perfect place for what I needed: a place for a couple of nights until thebrest of my party arrived and we continued on to our final destination. Good beds, bathrooms were ok (but please change the toilet seat in room 5), pool was nice and clean, but could use some seating. Good restaurants in very short walking distance. Good value."

"Mr. Edison was extra nice, we arrived at 9:00am. Check in was until 3:00pm but he let us to check in at our arrival time at no extra charge, that was awesome. The rest of the staff very nice, pool was excellent very clea. Yes the building is up for touch up, but everything works AC, Lighting, bathroom. We stay 2 night and my family an I left the place more than happy. Definitely recommended. "

"In general we really liked the hotel. Only bad experience, we weren’t allowed any extra bed sheets to cover us at night, we used our restroom towels to cover us. Older style hotel, with a nice staircase and elevator! Great AC and cable tv! The hotel has a nice roof top with a pleasant view and small pool. The area was kept clean and well light. A safe environment. "

"Marea has great management and staff, from Sofia and Luisa who helped me book tours that were just right for my family to Jaime and Jenni at the front desk and the amazing bar and restaurant crew - Fernando, Rodrigo, Carlos and Tirso! Marea is on a 20 km stretch of pure white sand each with almost no one around! The property is beautiful and the villas with plunge pools on the deck, beautiful interiors and comfortable furniture make it hard to want to go beyond your own front (patio) doors! "
