Magnificent views of the London skyline, celebrity spotting, stylish cafés and lively pubs beckon visitors to this upmarket and village-like neighbourhood.

Primrose Hill presents a glimpse into how Londoners live a village lifestyle within the limits of a major world capital. This fashionable and prestigious neighbourhood has long been a popular hangout among actors, models, musicians and socialites. Walk to a famous hilltop to enjoy an uninterrupted panorama of the city. Stroll streets lined with elegant residences, boutiques, cafés and pubs.

Primrose Hill is the neighbourhood’s namesake grassy knoll and one of London’s best natural viewpoints. Crowds gather here to enjoy picnics and views of emblematic city landmarks such as St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye and The Shard. Look for a plaque engraved with William Blake’s quote "I have conversed with the spiritual Sun. I saw him on Primrose Hill.Shakespeare’s Tree is an oak tree planted to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth.

Admire grand Victorian terraces while walking along Regent’s Park Road. This is the commercial heart of the area and where independent shops sit next to international restaurants and traditional British pubs. There’s a chance that you’ll cross paths with celebrities as you move between the locales. Look for blue plaques that mark the former homes of luminaries such as poets Dylan Thomas and William Yeats.

Fans of the performing arts should plan a stop at the Cecil Sharp House. This cultural centre is the epicentre of English folk music and dance. Attend a gig, take a dance class and join a singing workshop.

Bridges at the foot of the knoll cross Regent’s Canal into Regent’s Park, one of the Royal Parks of London. Spend a day exploring the park via tree-lined pathways and visiting London Zoo and Queen Mary’s Rose Garden. Stretch your legs with a walk on the Regent’s Canal Towpath. A short 15-minute amble will bring you to Camden Market, a bustling area home to design shops, fashion stores, bars and street food stands.

Primrose Hill is a neighbourhood located in the London Borough of Camden, in the northwest of the city. Travel here by the London Underground to the Chalk Farm Tube station or via bus line 274.
