"I spent two nights in this hotel as I was flying into Gatwick late on a Friday and out early on the Sunday. It couldn't be handier for that purpose when you arrive late or need to leave early for a flight. The room is comfortable and quiet. My issue with it was that there was zero human interaction. I did the check in through an email link which also operated the lift and then unlocked my bedroom door. I wasn't convinced that the door was locked when I was inside as there is nothing to indicate...

"Pleasantly surprised after reading negative reviews. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was warm, clean and comfortable. Yes, the floors creaked but its what you would expect in an old building such as this. Plenty of hot water for bath/shower. However shower lost pressure due to lots of people showering at the same time each morning. There was a good choice for breakfast and cooked to order. Excellent location in the centre of town. "
