"What we liked is that this was a real neighborhood, not just a tourist area. It was an easy walk from the main train station connecting to Lisbon. the hotel itself is spanking brand new and the bed was big and comfortable. Also less than two blocks away was an amazing local bakery (Chicana) which was amazingly cheap for that quality of pastries, bread and coffee. Their English is limited, but you will be fine. "We booked the corner room which was spacious and just like pictures. Construction is going on around the area and on the building across the street but noice was not an issue for us. Overall had a great stay."

"I would definitely stay again and really enjoyed the relaxed comfort and location. I am in my 80's am had no difficulty walking all over Porto, enjoying lunch at the Majestic Cafe, taking a boat ride on the Douro. Once oriented, I had no trouble navigating everywhere that I wanted to visit. The staff was the best I have ever encountered. They even gave me cookies for my journey back to Lisbon and Mario came out to our car and drove with us to park the car. "
