"This hotel is long overdue an overhaul and this year it was nice to see they’ve started it on some rooms. Worth a visit but don’t expect plush 4/5 star hotel. It’s dated but they seem to be improving things. Staff are lovely, pool is small and the lady who runs the pool does so with an iron fist and is sometimes over zealous. "Stunning surroundings and delighted to see rooms had been upgraded since our last stay . Dress code needed for breakfast for some as people in pj s and sliders ! Not in keeping with a 4 star hotel. The Australian bar man “Rory” I think, was excellent and welcoming . "

"Overall a very comfortable experience. This is the second time we stayed in Macdonald's hotel, opted for half board and loved our meals everynight. Breakfast was great, would be nice to have meatfree options for vegetarians, even if not in buffet but can offer to prepare it if requested, still loved scones and beans and pancakes, kind and caring staff."
