"Absolutely lovely place. Rooms were great.Beautiful surroundings.Only down side was that we arrived at 1pm, check in was 3pm.Had planned to go to The White Hart Inn, for lunch and drinks,only to arrive there and be told, due to winter staffing, they were not opening until 5pm. I suggested that maybe having a sign on the road advertising that they were open from 8am, should be removed/ amended."

"We wanted a nice relaxing and chilled weekend. The hotel, room except for the shower and hairdryer, food and the staff were awesome. However we couldn’t use the pool as it was freezing cold. The pool was one of the reasons we picked this hotel. "

"Pretty location. Pleasant stay in a nice room in the annexe. Good breakfast and decent food in the evening. The only issue really is access. It's in the middle of nowhere with steep narrow single track roads that are pretty treacherous and stressful in the dark and bad weasther."

"The Tall House is a fantastic place to stay. I cannot fault it at all. Dan and Judy are lovely and make you feel like part of the family. The conversations are great and they are very attentive. The breakfast is amazing, pick what you want the night before and it’s bought to your room at the time you want! Bed was very comfy and the shower had really good pressure. Nice little village where all you can hear is nature. Would definitely stay again. "

Business Trip - 3 Days

"When arriving at the hotel, I pulled up into the car park behind it. I started to feel concerned as to whether I had booked the correct place and I didn’t like the look of it. However when I got around to the front I was met with a wave of relief as it looked great, it was also in a very convenient location if you’re looking to go into the town. (10-15 minute walk approximately). Parking charges apply on the car park in front of the hotel and also at the back. (Approximately £10-£13 for 24 hours). Walking into the hotel it was visually pleasing, and so were the girls at reception and the bar. Free drinks were also offered on check in (membership). There were sweets, lemon water and mulled apple juice to help yourself to which was a nice touch. Snacks & drinks also available to buy. Check-in was quick and easy and everywhere was clean. Rooms - the shower was powerful and of good quality. The bathrooms were very clean and up to my standards, (which are high). (No blocked plug holes or dirt which is common). Also good lighting in the bathroom and the room itself. The air-conditioning and heating worked as it should. The rooms were sufficiently clean and supplied with all items required for a trip. The beds were comfortable and clean with a choice of different pillows. There were USB port plug sockets also which is very handy for business trips and doesn’t go unnoticed. Breakfast & dinner was good with a wide selection, the steak being a good choice. 5* rating."
