"This is a true gem! Its decor inside is unique with all kinds of tchotchkes to look at as you check into the hotel. The 75 rooms each have a theme based on an author. I stayed in the Jane Austen room and loved it. The room has an espresso maker with 2 caffeinated and 2 decaf pods for you to use each day. The tea that's provided in-room is of good quality too. The bathroom was with a shower only and nicely modernized. I was grateful for a shower that allowed me some space to move around. The rooms come with blackout curtains that were very effective and we had privacy sheers that let the light in during the day. They also have some nice amenities like soaps, lotions, shampoos and things. The hotel has many communal areas where you can sit with your travel mates for drinks or tea and still have some privacy for conversation. We had some local friends come join us on the rooftop terrace one evening and they were thrilled to know that this hotel was so wonderful and nearby their home. There are a LOT of plants throughout the property. We loved all the greenery. I tried the Turkish bath service and it was the first time I had ever done one. I fell asleep! It was very relaxing and the service provider was very good. The hotel about a 5 minute walk to the metro station and Canary Wharf is a 20 minute BEAUTIFUL walk. We had great weather during our visit and walked to and from the wharf for dinner."
