"The Parkgate is the perfect place to get away from the world. The service is topnotch and the staff are always incredible and will always welcome you with a warm smile. The room service was aldo great and nothing was too much trouble. We had stayed in the Tower Suite and as always it was stunning, quiet and the perfect place to just quiet the mind. It has to be my most favorite room, not only because it's beautiful but it feels like a quiet secret getaway. Always a pleasure. "

"Lovely clean and recently renovated room. Front of the property and on the first floor so a stunning view of Cardiff and Caerphilly mountain. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice and quality items on the menu. All the staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Beautiful hotel and stunning views. "Excellent location for bars, restaurants, castle. Hotel is a bit dated but for one night we didn’t mind. Very clean, our mattress a little too soft for my taste. Lovely duvet! I prefer the shower as opposed to the bath. Overall I would say that it’s a good hotel for a short stay. Concierge very efficient and professional."

"Excellent proximity to the city centre, just a short walk away. Room was very clean and well maintained, comfortable bed and lots of space. Lovely and quiet. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and very convenient having the parking in such a safe environment. We will definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family "

"The Royal is within easy walking distance of the train statio, the Cardiff Castle, Cardiff Museum, Stadium, several arcades, and a wide variety of good restaurants. Our room was very nice with wood floors. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was well organized with a really lovely spacious bath/shower. We appreciated the free early baggage storage prior to check-in. Finally, the staff were very polite and helpful. "

"Positive: walking distance to shops, easy check in, clean Negative: no locker or table to put your luggage, not sure if this Cardiff environmental move but there’s no plastic in the bin so you will put your waste/rubbish directly in the bin Otherwise, we have a pleasant stay in Easyhotel "

"A very comfortable stay in an excellent location. Good to have parking on site - very convenient (even if a bit expensive). Staff were excellent. We ate one evening in the restaurant, which was very good. Only complaint was that the shower was in the bath and the bath was quite high so difficult to get in and out without holding on to the small shelf at the end of the bath. Would have preferred a walk in shower. Room was also quite hot and difficult to operate the air conditioning which required...

"All of the staff were superb and so friendly and helpful. Absolutely super breakfast well worth the price. Accomodation was spotless. Couple of small downsides 1. There is no lift so carrying your bags up a staircase you need to be reasonably fit. 2. Lack of shelves and only a narrow windowcill in the bathroom. The two drawers between the beds were ok but the top was where the tray for kettle , cups and tea and coffee was stored. 3. The TV was a good smart TV but at a 90° angle to the beds. No...
