Caroline greeted us at the desk and couldn’t have been more helpful making sure we were able to sort out our parking. She was so friendly and welcoming. This is a lovely, clean and smart hotel. "Nice, if all you want is a "basic" pub room for the night. There was a good basic pub menu. A respectable sprinkling of locals seem to consider it where they go. Not a lot of "olde worlde charm", but the sheets were clean, the plumbing modern and worked. Good HVAC provision. I'd stay here again. Seemed to be owner/operated- always a plus in my book, and the people we met tried to please."

"Good pub to stay at with reasonable prices, except for the charge to bring your dog. The room for one night was £60 but the fee to bring two dogs was £40. Then they tried to double charge us for the dogs so £80 a night. We complained and they marked it down to £20 per night for the dogs which is about the norm for the area. Beds were comfortable. Will not stay again unless they revisit their per dog/per night charge... "
