"We had a perfectly good stay at the Dog and Partridge, but the accommodation didn’t transpire to be what we expect. We were anticipating a cozy room, in a country pub setting but, in reality, the D&P offers good value, chalet-style family rooms, each with it’s own car port, in a large area behind the pub itself. "Such a beautiful and relaxing setting. A quiet ambient indoor setting to and furnished well. The food was adequate at breakfast and the evening meal was good. An improvement would be better quality pillows as the ones provided where flat and uncomfortable. "

"I spent two nights hear so saw lots of different staff and they was all amazing. I had the single room which is probably only a few inches off been a double, so great. I had two evening meals which were both fantastic and also fantastic value for money. But the breakfast is the show stopper for me. If you like a full English you will love this hotel"

"We spent an enjoyable and comfortable nights stay at the Station Hotel. The bedroom was spacious and clean and we had a good nights sleep in the large four poster bed. In the morning we were served an excellent full English breakfast."

"Lodge was adequate for our needs as a base for two day trips to Alton Towers. Bedrooms and Bathrooms were great but the living areas and kitchen need some upgrades as the sofas and dining chairs very uncomfortable due to over use. The kitchen was adequate - however the hob didn’t work the oven wasn’t easy to use and there was a dishwasher which was listed so we didn’t bring tablets for that and don’t expect to find a dish cloth to clean or wash dishes."
