"A beautiful family run hotel. Great large meals and a nice bar. Friendly staff and nice getting to know some of the locals. This place had a gorgeous garden and this was done by the owner Paul. We loved our 2 night stay and the breakfast was awesome. Paul.was a great host abdceven took for a drive to show us the local attractions. "

There were no toothpaste and brush set kept in bathroom where they will be kept in most of the hotels.

"I had an amazing experience at this hotel during my recent trip. It’s located in Workington, just a short drive from the Lake District, making it a great base for exploring the area. The location was convenient yet peaceful, with beautiful surroundings and easy access to hiking trails and charming villages.
The room was spotless, cozy, and offered lovely views. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, always ready with great recommendations and a friendly smile. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh and high-quality options.
It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy everything the Lake District has to offer. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway.

"Overnight stay. Due to our own problems could not check in arriving after 12mn very good instructions to gain entry and directions to room. Breakfast made to order delicious and plentiful. Hotel is tierd in places but room was modern obviously newly updated. Bed very comfortable family are improving areas all the time. Well worth a visit if you are coming to Castle Douglas."
