Ach na Sheen Guest House
2.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (131)
"The house is charming, especially the well apportioned dining room, and Sylvia is amazing, the very soul of generous hospitality … and a wonderful cook. Hers was far and away the best Irish breakfast I had of my several trips to Ireland! Sylvia even found me great local help with my family history quest and is herself quite knowledgeable about local history and about things to do and see in the vicinity. The central area of Tipperary town is just a short walk away and Sylvia is an excellent...

Garden Holiday Cottage
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (9)
"On arrival and on opening the front door, there is an overwhelming fusty smell of damp this emanates from the flat roof in the kitchen and Bathroom damp signs are visible on the ceiling and around the bath sealant. The back door does not open thereby closing off a secondary escape route, there was a note left saying that the door would be repaired that week however it was undated and there are no obvious signs of this work being done. The double bed is very small is it a ¾ bed? There are no...

Killeen House - Cosy in the Irish Countryside
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (11)
"It's a nice little cottage and host/property manager were quite nice as well. We were there 5 days, and enjoyed our stay there a lot. It's a bit far from the sights and from a grocery store (minimum 30 min. drive, IIRC) so plan for that. Also, no wi-fi that we were able to figure out (we just watched stuff we had already downloaded, using an HDMI cable), but there was a television and laundry facilities, so that was great."

"A delightful step back in time while having all the modern conveniences. Cottage was renovated beautifully with every attention to detail and in keeping with its old world charm. Sonia, the owner was very friendly and accommodating. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to really enjoy the cottage in the evenings around the fire. Thank you, Sonia, for sharing your home. I'm sure we'll be back!!!! Mary, Noelle and Sara"

When we first arrived the cottage was hard to find at night, but a quick call and Tom was out with a flashlight to guide us in. What a great host."
