"This was a New Year's Eve stay - we had dinner in a nearby restaurant and then returned to the hotel's 6th floor bar. It was a relief to find a civilised space after the noise of the restaurant and surrounding streets. We'd been told the bar would close at 11pm, but the bar staff kept it open for those of us up there at midnight - which was hugely appreciated - and into the bargain we were able to see spectacular fireworks from across Cardiff Bay. Other highlights included the excellent buffet...
