"Corridors & hotel room tired e.g. torn wallpaper, scuffed table. Receptionist accused me of not paying for dinner the night before where I had to provide a credit card statement as proof of payment as apparently the till receipt wasn’t suffice & the Waiter didn’t provide a pdq receipt. Fantastic facilities & grounds & felt very festive!"

"Had a lovely overnight stay at Shrigley Hall Hotel. Big spacious room and full bathroom. Food was fabulous and the staff were excellent. A relaxing break in the middle of Christmas and New Year - just what we needed."

However we were put off by 3 men who complained about our children playing in the pool ( during the only 2 hours a day that the children were allowed in there ) It then turned out that the men complaining were waiters in the hotel. Due to these unpleasant staff members we wouldn’t return. "

"Great for a family stopover for a couple of nights. Very easy to walk into Chester and as we were in the racecourse facing rooms it was fairly quiet. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice including healthier options. "
