"We’s been wanting to stay here for 30 years, and took a long weekend to do so. The Hotel was nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. We wanted to avoid Lake Placid due to the Can Am Rugby games and found this location perfect. It was close to Whiteface and its trails, close to alot of fishing spots, and had a clean pool and recliners to relax with at the end of an active day. The Fly shop is also amazing, and staffed by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Calling the Hotel a “Resort” is a bit of a stretch, but for the $$ we were happy overall."

"My girlfriend and I LOVED this place. It's not the Marriot or some chain, so it's a bit unique and has quirks, and that's why it's awesome. The room was small but comfortable, the bed very comfy. There was no TV in the room, which I really liked. Great shower. Outside there was a little deck with chairs so we could relax, listen to the Ausable River and look at the lovely grounds. There was also a restaurant area (closed while we were there) that we could sit in for meals or just to hang out. Cool decorations everywhere (and a TV, if you really needed one). And a small game room with foosball, pingpong and a pool table. Fire pit with chairs. Oh, and they provided a nice bagged breakfast with an egg, granola bar, orange, juice box -- basically a good hiking snack. And the staff were very friendly and helpful."
