"The Commodore has an Old World elegance. Our room was large enough (not spacious but generous) and it was immaculate. The staff members were lovely - helpful and personable. There is a very nice door/outdoor restaurant where the food was delicious and the service excellent. Location wise - it’s about a long city block to the V & A shopping area which offers anything you need in n a safe atmosphere. We enjoyed out stay very much. "

"All the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. It's an excellent, low cost hotel thats super convenient for layovers at the airport. Easy walk through safe area, or cheap Uber ride if feeling lazy or have large amount of luggage. Bad reviews are very unfair, as with everything it's all about managing expectations. For the price you simply can't fault this hotel. The food is excellent and great value too. I will definitely stay here again. "
