"Amazing! We were initially put in Room 3 which we found a little disappointing for what we had paid. We asked for Room 5 (our very favourite room) and we were delighted to change rooms (although slightly confused why we hadn’t been offered that one first?). "This hotel is in a great location and is very handy for Chatsworth and the walks around this beautiful area. I’m told the hotel is under new ownership and there are big plans for refurbishing both the hotel and restaurant. However our room was spotless and we had everything required for two nights of peace and tranquility. Friendly efficient staff the hotel will do well to retain."

Everyone went out of their way to be kind and helpful, even helping when our plans to tour local sites got messed up by a very heavy winter storm that caused power outages. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey, but excellent quality and our servers could not have been better. Breakfast every morning was delicious and, again, our server was lovely.
