"A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. It is an enormous building and can take four minutes to walk from one end to the other, usually up and down a lot of stairs! Didn't realise that rooms are only made up every three days, unless you request otherwise. Disappointing for a four star hotel. Will know in future!"

Room I checked in first was broken down - ac was making noise, bath plug was stuck and it could not come out, staff didn’t come to check waited for an hour. "We had a perfectly good stay at the Dog and Partridge, but the accommodation didn’t transpire to be what we expect. We were anticipating a cozy room, in a country pub setting but, in reality, the D&P offers good value, chalet-style family rooms, each with it’s own car port, in a large area behind the pub itself. "What an excellent place i will be returning and staying in these quaint but rustic and beautiful hotel. The rooms were bigger than an average size, the bar and restaurant was wonderful sitting next to a slow burning fire just like the good old days as a child. Food was exceptional the staff were second to none and couldn’t do enouh for you. Breakfasts were plentyful and hot."
