"Excellent location for us, quiet - about 15 mins walk along to coast to major attractions. We were here for one night and thought it was great value, really nice guy looking after the place made us feel welcome, even with 2 screaming kids. Would come back for sure. "

"Superb experience, staff is lovely, the pub and the rooms are so cozy and welcoming, and the food was soooo good! Excellent dinner and the breakfast was delicious. I loved the amenities it was a great surprise. Expectations were high and they were still exceeded! Also the shower was very good. "

Don’t believe the photos or listing details!

"The photos of two of the bedrooms on the website are from a completely different property. Bedroom 2 in particular is a lot smaller than expected.There was no dishwasher even though one is listed in the property details.We noticed there was a leak in the living room ceiling. This began dripping after we had used the shower in the master bedroom. The crack in the ceiling where the leak was coming through looked like an old crack that had been badly patched over.Television didn’t work properly because it hadn’t been formatted. We couldn’t watch any terrestrial tv and had to log in to our own Netflix account.The grass at front and especially the back of property was overgrown and in need of cutting.Screw holes in lots of walls from previous fittings.Loo roll holders missing from two of the bathrooms.Property was clean and tidy, however, website information is very misleading and needs to be updated so it reflects the true size and features of the property. The owners have blatantly lied about the property. Very disappointing."

"The property was of an ideal size for us and our 15 months baby. It is very quite, surrounded by fruit trees orchards and farm fields. Despite arriving later than expected, Steve was present to welcome us and brief us on the house an surroundings. The cottage is in good condition, especially the kitchen and bathroom that look almost new. The kitchen is very well equipped. We even had the pleasant surprise of finding fresh milk, local apple juice and cross buns which were great for our first breakfast. Tina and Steve provided us with a travel cot bed, high chair and baby bath for our son. This was very helpful and we didn’t need to bring ours for the long weekend. They are many toys, games and books available to borrow in the laundry room, and for all ages. Even for adults with a badminton set. And lots of space outside to play. The colourful fishes in the pond (protected by a fence so safe for children) are huge and very feisty and noisy when eating and we enjoyed watching them. It is a very good base to explore the area with so many places to visit within a 30 minutes drive (Canterbury, Broadstairs etc…). We definitely recommend the place and won’t hesitate to go back."

"The bungalow was bright and roomy. Lots of games for the children to play, and lots of things for the adults. Very well equipped. Good walks, and close to Herne Bay. Overall, a lovely place to stay."

Charming little spot

"Great location, easy to get to Canterbury, Margate and Dover. Wonderful historical building, with a host who helped us when we got lost (😂 it was way easier than we made it seem!) as well as giving the goods in regards to their pub recommendation. We had an amazing meal! Also helpful, kind hearted touchea such as washing pods, a teapot AND a kettle to brew a tea as you wonder at the view. "
