"Wonderful staff. We got a recently renovated room with a kitchenette which was great. This place is not new and it’s not fancy. But we don’t need that. It felt like home. And I must repeat: the staff was wonderful. "

"Lovely restored home. Very nice owner and sweet (I believe Japanese) lady prepared and cooked our breakfast. Lots of snacks and refreshments. We were allowed to use an area in the fridge. No amenities in room but, everything we would want or need was just outside our door. Would love to stay again!"

"We had nine adults and six children under four and stayed for ten days. We literally sat on the deck and ate breakfast and we would spot sea turtles across the street. Great snorkeling and black sand beach right there. We will return again soon."

"The house was a roomy older house, conveniently located 5 minutes from downtown Hilo. Overall, the house was terrific. The only drawback was the shower stall and showerhead. The shower flow was insufficient. A hand-held shower head would be better!"

"We had a great stay in this home and were very grateful for the immediate responses we received from the owner about a few items. We loved watching people surf and paddle board from the front porch and my three-year old loved the kitties that hang out there. We also saw a little black pig almost every day which was fun.
