I love the concept and the idea of feeling safe as a woman, but the hotel doesn't have phones in the rooms which resulted in a lot of confusion/inconveniences. The first day a woman from another room had issues with her door and instead of her door being opened, my door began to lock and unlock automatically with a loud noise as if someone was trying to enter around 5 AM and continued for hours - the confusion easily would have been solved if there were phones in the rooms.
The second similar incident happened when I asked for late checkout, the hotel owners or managers entered my room without knocking as I was getting dressed, and gave a lackluster apology. Again, with a better system and phones in the rooms, I think they would have known the room was still occupied, and if their intention was to see if I had left, a phone call would have sufficed.
Devrim at the front desk was lovely and sweet, but my overall stay, aside from being very happy with the concept and decoration, was uncomfortable and marked by inconveniences that make it seem as if they are still working their new business kinks out, but definitely full of potential to be an excellent choice for women travelers.
