"Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for exploring Charleston, with many attractions within walking distance. We requested a quiet room and stayed on the 6th floor, not facing the road, and away from the elevator. Curiously though, there was a constant 50 db mechanical hum, occasionally accompanied by a high pitched whine, throughout our stay. Also, a surprising number of dogs were staying at the hotel, so keep that in mind when you book. "

"Love the location. Friendly staff. Bed was comfortable. Only problem is that the HVAC system needed maintenance as it would not warm the room (61 degrees) when we first arrived. The maintenance man was prompt and in a few minutes fixed the problem. However, it seems the system is old as it took much longer than usual for the system to reach minor setting changes.
