"This is a beautiful hotel, with incredible views. The only thing stopping me giving it a full 5 stars is the bed is just way too hard. It’s a common theme in Japan, and I just don’t understand it! It’s like sleeping on concrete. They really need to have a way to accommodate western guests’ preferences for comfortable beds, instead of only catering to the domestic market in this regard. Any westerner travelling to Japan needs to be aware of this issue, particularly if you have back or hip issues."

"The property is clean and staff are all Very polite and helpful. But the location is next to a fire or emergency station, and there was 2-3 alarms of the vehicles every night between 11pm - 6am. It affected my family sleep and we were a bit tired after the 5 nights there. The eating area is the same floor as the onsen and it is always busy with plenty of people walking about, going to eat, going to onsen, going to wash clothes, going to eat ice cream… And the nearest train is 450m away and...
