"I stayed at Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo and it was absolutely perfect! It’s about a 10–15 minute walk from nearby subway stations, but I honestly didn’t mind at all—because the walk takes you through the Teramachi shopping district. I was enjoying seeing the area that I completely walked past the hotel at first, distracted by restaurants, karaoke spots, kimono rentals, a cat café, and even a samurai museum! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the amenities were excellent. There’s a beauty bar available to all guests with facial cleansers, lotions, razors, toothbrushes—everything you might need. It felt like a thoughtful and luxurious touch. The rooms were clean, cozy, and modern. You use your room key card to activate the electricity and control the lights and AC. The beds were super cushy, and the room even came with bath salts, face masks, and a full pajama set, which reminded me of a ryokan experience! The bathroom layout was impressive: the toilet had its own room, while the bathing area was designed like a mini onsen. There’s a sit-down washing station and a deep-soak tub—I could submerge up to my shoulders, and it was heavenly! Hotel Gracery also practices strong sustainability (SDGs). Full room cleaning is every 3 days, and if you opt in to the eco program, they still provide fresh towels and bottled water as a thank-you. Overall, I absolutely recommend Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo!"

"The hotel was excellent in their services. I received complementary upgrade, and the room was spacious. Their breakfast was great; choice from the two set menu, which I chose Japanese set. Very authentic and delicious!"

"Our stay was very nice calmed and relaxed. The onsen was beautiful and very tidy. Unfortunately our room and designated bathroom had a very particular smell and the toilets smelled like urine :( but it didn’t ruin our stay. The host was very very helpful (a bit rushed at times but understandably as he runs the whole place). The food is delicious! You are served a traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner. The host offered a lift to the station twice, if this is the case for you don’t be late like us because being late is a disrespectful act in Japan! (We were 2 mins late, still not a nice thing to do!). Check out is a bit earlier than usual but it was ok, we were charged a hot spring tax per night at the end of the check out which is ok I just understood that was included in the payment (read the facility details) but apparently it was not, We didn’t mind. Overall we found it peaceful and quiet which was what we were looking for anyways."

"Staying at Kamo Residences was an absolute pleasure. Check-in was quick, and the place itself is pure luxury—beautiful interiors, a fantastic layout, designer furniture (high-end, solid and comfy). The full kitchen, washer-dryer, and microwave made everything super convenient. Room cleaning 3 times per day, plus bed turnover while we were out for dinner. Beds are high, thick and comfortable, nice support. We asked for harder pillows, no problem. Sheets and bedding silky. Cleanest hotel I have seen - ever. Dinner was arranged by front-desk who set us up with a two star Michelin restaurant the same day, nice! The hotel arranged a great chauffeur and tour guide for us, taking us to Arashiyama and spending half a day exploring Gion (very friendly and knowledgable gent). Breakfast was custom-made for us—a Kyoto-style bento box, hot and fresh. We’re headed to Tokyo now but will be back for a four-day stay next week. Can’t wait to return.
