"The hotel and grounds itself are very beautiful with modern decor. The breakfast was a good selection and the bar was well stocked and reasonably priced. Check-in was quick and easy and we received a quick tour of the hotel. The local knowledge could have been better, when we asked for a local restaurant recommendation we didnt expect to be referred to a chain restaurant, we did go for a walk and settle on a local Thai restaurant. "This was like staying with friends for a smart weekend in the country. Ann gave us a guided tour, and later showed me round her hi-tech greenhouse when I expressed an interest. The house and garden are fabulous, our room was huge and elegant with a big comfortable bed and a walk-in rainfall shower.
