Only 2 issue with rooms is the towels which were showing signs of age i.e. well worn but they were changed when needed and lack of clothes hanging space (used hangers on door handles and managed). We arrived on my birthday and because they check your passport when checking in, the receptionist noticed the date and then all the staff wished me a happy birthday. "The Be Poet is a very central hotel, close to sites, shopping and dining. The buffet breakfast was good. The toiletries provided included shampoo and body wash, cream and hand soap. The front desk hotel were very nice and always willing to assist with any question. "Great value right downtown on quiet side walk just two minute walk to main area of shops and restaurants. Spacious, very clean, light and bright room with bathtub (302). Elevator with some stairs. Smart, helpful staff (thank you Pedro for helping me with plane reservation.) I did not get the breakfast option nearby eateries abound. Right next to elevators that go up to the castle area saving you the climb. Highly recommended. I’ll be steying again when I pass back through Lisbon"

"We felt the front desk personnel were welcoming, helpful and kind. They seemed very aware and attentive to every guest. We liked the offering of beverages and sweet treats in the reception area. The room was small yet well appointed. There was an umbrella for the rainy day. Not only was there a good blow dryer but also a flat iron for my hair. That was a win.
