"Great deal for the location but temper expectations for age of hotel. If you have a great spot on the beach you shouldn’t be in your room too much anyway. If from out of town I recommend uber to and from airport because parking not available at hotel. Also ask for more updated room. These tips will negate all the negative reviews you see."

"Perfect get away spot, food was great, grounds and beach are well kept…our room was very clean the bathroom was a little dated but in perfect shape. This was our first time there and we are planning a return visit. Special thanks to Junior at the front desk, Ricky and Judy behind the bar, Petra and Matt in the dining room and “Jake” the lovely young lady by the pool…I wish I could remember everyone’s name because they were all great! "Ok so we have stayed for a 2nd time. Lowest price in the area by far. There is ample parking but you may end up out back, looks rough but its safe, Beach is walking distance on side walks and park. food is 1.1 miles away either way you go. plan to pay for parking every where you go outside the hotel. They will ask for $50 per night cc deposit if you check in with expedia, but thats just a hold, the charge never hits your cc. Pool area is always clean, can borrow chairs and umbrellas, awesome...

"We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. From the outside the hotel is one of the smaller ones. Our suite was newly renovated and very modern and clean. There is construction next door which means hearing a jackhammer all day while you’re at the pool. Drinks and food are over priced at the tikki bar for what you get. Staff is prompt with any request. "Really nice property near loads of restaurants and bars. A 20 minute walk to the Art Deco historic district. Provided beach chairs and towels were fantastic and very close to the hotel. Bed was comfortable and the room was modern and clean. The only worry we had was the pool party had very loud music at night time. Thankfully it was done by 10PM for the guests who needed to sleep."
