"We had a lovely 2 night stay at the property. The room was spacious and , bathroom clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and both were very good. The staff were amazing, extremely helpful and Gary the Reception Supervisor was 5 star in service. I broke my ankle earlier on the day we arrived and he did everything possible to make me comfortable during our stay. Well deserved recognition for service excellence."

"Our third stay at the Moorings. Convenient location for meeting family. Lovely old house converted into an hotel. Staff friendly and the room well appointed. Also, train station is nearby for quick services into Glasgow. We only had one issue with a guest in the next room not waking up when their alarm went off, again and again. Staff did their best to raise her. They did get it sorted in the end. "

"We had a problem with your booking system we styated that we needed a downfloor room as there was no lift and i was unable to walk upstairs.When we arrived he said we were booked in for an upstairs room.I found this very stressful as i had phoned up before hand to check that we were downstairs. However the very helpful gentleman on reception sorted it out and we were able to stay."

"Had a beautiful stay here and our room was lovely as the lovely lounge area,also lovely dining room. Breakfast was Fantastic and plentiful. Travelled from Australia and will let people know when back home about this beautiful place,owners were very kind and hospitable.... "Hotel is a bit tired, room wasn’t great. Booked a king but was put in a room with 2 singles together which wasn’t great. Tv didn’t work and toilet wasn’t the most reliable. Put in a room 107 where the view was shocking bad facing a roof and wall. Spa is good and staff were really friendly. Probably wouldn’t stay again and would look elsewhere "
