"Had a great comfortable 5 nught stay. Room was clean. Very quiet and safe feeling environment, staff we came into contact were very friendly and every songle one greeted us. No request was too much. Only negatives,- could do with a freshen up with walls a bit stained and a few holes (not expecribg perfection) Table we sat at for breakfast had a sticky layer that was scrapable, and the wall next to the tanle had sometiing spilled down it that looked to have been left to run down the wall. "

"Great location and extremely accessible to the whole area. Coupled with the hop-on Hop-off system was great to explore. The Inn was very helpful with relocating to the first floor above the restaurant after the first night. A knee replacement was prohibitive above that. Staff was great! And, breakfast was the best. Akso, best lattes in town."

"Great place as a base for exploring the Borders. Overall stay was good. Room was exceptionally clean(had a couple of minor niggles but these were dealt with happily and swiftly). Stayed in a double which was quite small (with only one bedside table). Would 'upgrade' to a larger room if staying again. The best thing about this hotel is the people and the outstanding service they provide-nothing too much trouble and so friendly. Ooh- and good food including a fab breakfast. "

"THE best location possible. Steps to the castle and everything you want. Hotel is super clean. You’re directly across from St Giles church and not many cars up here at hotel because street is made for walking around. Great beds and quality soap in showers. Bedding is great, blankets great and mattresses were the best we’ve had on our 3 country trip. Staff walked us to our rooms and carried our luggage. Lots of steps in Edinburgh- but if you stay on the street it’s easier with luggage. 5 minute...
