"The construction makes this hotel so not cute. I imagine it was a great spot before this started but it’s far from inviting at the entrance and only until you get off the elevator is it truly what you see in the photos, covered by plastic. Nothing bad, and the construction was only during the week and thankfully I stayed Saturday night, BUT the notice of construction is only sent to you after booking. "

"Great location, staff were welcoming and helpful. In past reviews it has been mentioned that the 2 elevators is a bit of a problem. If you have patience and aren’t in a rush it is what it is. On our day of check out one of the elevators was out of service. The extra fee’s of being charged for the gym and the WiFi is disappointing. We didn’t use either but to be charged regardless doesn’t sit well with me. "

"Only four elevators for 41 floors so can take a long time - often took the stairs from 11th floor. But great bar and restaurant staff, good location, close to stores and restaurants. Small rooms but typical for NYC, well appointed though, great water pressure in shower. Air conditioning can be loud though. Fun games room in the lounge. "
