Having previously stayed at resorts at a slightly higher price point, we entered this trip keeping that in mind. This resort is so close to being a really great place. Check in was simple/great The room was great upon our arrival. We stayed in the privileged oceanview with the private plunge pool. Room 6320 to be exact. The private pool was nice to have, but could use some updates. It had missing tile and grout which subtracted from the experience. I have yet to find a pool in Mx that is heated, so I was expecting it to be cool. It was. But not terrible. The staff was close to great, but there was a wide gap in staff. Some were wonderful, others appeared confused and possibly new. The food was good. Only had two “great” meals. Both were at the steakhouse (The Grill). At other resorts (again at a little higher price point and we realize that) we’ve had much better food. Lunch options were sparse as the only ala carte restaurant available for lunch is Beloved. Reservation required and only available to “Privledged” level guests. The buffet was open for lunch as well as two food trucks, (honestly…meh) as well as a crepe place (also meh) and the pizza buffet (if you call it that with self serve and 5 pizza choices…the pizza felt undercooked each time we had it. We only returned for pizza another time because of the limited food options. We wanted to love this resort. And they honestly were very close. I’d have to think hard about returning at this price point

Unique property.Tbe feeling that you are in the jungle and the nature surrounding the rooms is what makes the property different from other places.The beach is clean and spacious with plenty of palm trees and enough chairs for the guests.The wild animals coati are a little annoying, stealing food and overpowering the cafe and eating places.

It was a wonderful destination for a family trip. My 4-year-old son absolutely loved the kids’ club, while our 1-year-old enjoyed the beach. Both of them had a blast at the swimming pool, and we all appreciated the natural surroundings. The resort was perfect for us—delicious food and a great time overall. We might even consider returning!

We liked the jungle feel. We liked the beach. We enjoyed a couple of the shows (Rock show & Mexican show), the others were good when there was stuff happened but too much time just watching videos we felt. The a la carte restaurants were good re: food and service (Italian in particular, the Steakhouse had the best desserts on the resort), the Japanese restaurant was good as well. BLoved had very slow service which surprised us. Great breakfast and lunch menu but dinner wasn't so great. The buffet was good, lots of variety but we struggled a few times to try get someone to bring us coffee. Rooms were beautiful, ours was recently renovated. The one sink had a leak underneath so floor was always wet there. Congiere was wonderful. Victor & Rueben were super friendly and helpful. Coatis were neat to see. Lots of naked little kids in the pool which was somewhat disturbing and unacceptable in our opinion. Lots of entertainment, the entertainment crew work long hours and are really good at what they do. Coffee house, Aromas, was really nice!

We enjoyed the property. This was our first time to Mexico and this was a great selection. Offering a little of everything from views from the ocean to enjoying the day pool side. Buffet offered lots of choices that made it easy to select from. We like that we could have snacks by the pool or ocean front. As they had a crepe bistro, pizzeria and two food trucks. This was convenient when at the beach or pool for the day. Accompanied by Servers that brought your beverages to you. We appreciated so many of them. We booked an excursion in the lobby, easily and efficient. Enjoyed the evening entertainment at the theatre nightly. Had a great time - pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

We had a great visit! The resort, the food and the beach were amazing. However, the washroom in the room, not so great! The shower leaked water everywhere and there’s not much ventilation in there. There was always a sewer smell.

Beautiful beach & nice pool. Small lobby with limited seating. Lobby flooded when it rained. Only two bars on the whole resort. Every drink was made different - no consistency. Our room was extremely musty and dated but some rooms were updated. Courtyards were nice. No elevators. Same food served every day at buffet & by pool. Limited choices for lunch by pool & beach. A la cartes were nice. Entertainment was just a dancing & singing show in different costumes- no variety. Silent party was fun. Coatis were a nuisance. Staff were friendly & helpful. Whole resort felt dated and that corners were being cut.

Expedia costumers do not have same privileges than other customers coming from different tourism companies specially from France and Italy. That was told us by hotel Manager and I don't think Expedia is aware about it. No vip benefits or acknowledge terrible and unfriend staff specially at kids club.

Poor value for the price we paid. Property is cutting costs on food, staff training, room maintenance, spa facilities, a la carte restaurants. Stayed in this property before (6 years ago) and thought it was fantastic. Most everything that made this property special, such as excellent restaurants, customer service, grounds upkeep is no longer there. While property grounds are still beautifully landscaped, the trash and food leftovers are not picked up, the tables in the lobby, around the pool and the beach, coffee shop are always sticky and full of crumbs which invites ants and raccoons. The food was the worst we had in 25 years vacationing in Mexico. We are not picking eaters, but the taste and the quality of food is similar to hospital or school cafeteria- bland, greasy, tasteless, re-heated or fried, and heavily processed. Our last meal at the Spanish restaurant (which is no longer serves tapas) was boiled potatoes with mayo for the appetizer, and a mystery canned meat with soupy rice for (the called beef ribs and Spanish rice). The Asian restaurant meals tasted like microwaveable lunches . B-loved and Grill- OK fish. salads, but tough and poorly cooked meat. Italian- the only good restaurant. Rooms- clean, but outdated. Airconditioner turned on and off every 30 minutes was so loud, it was impossible to get a restful sleep. Spa- poorly functioning sauna, tiny steam room and jacuzzi with mostly non-functional jets. Too bad this property is so mismanaged.
