Good overall. HUGE resort. Hard to get reservations in restaurants and better dishes cost extra. Staff nice. Buffet what you would expect at a good all inclusive.

Local beach was covered with seaweed and stank

Seaweed problem awful, despite everyone's best efforts to remove. When machines are moving the seaweed, lots of flies appear. I wouldn't come to Playa Del Carmen for the beach, as it is not possible to use.
