"A very old and tired hotel. Room had not been aired for a long time so smelled damp and musty - I had to open the window as soon as I entered the room. Old furniture, old and dilapidated bathroom / shower. Span and gym not available. Swimming pool available but costs €18 for a swim! I dont expect to pay as a guest of the hotel. The Covelo is in the heart of old town and steps away from restaurants and just over the bridge is the religious centre. First of all, they gave us an accessible room that was not shown in the photos, whenever I went to the bathroom it looked like I was in a hospital. The owner gave us a tour of the property, which used to be a vineyard owned by his family. Quite amazing how well they renovated the property. Dinner was 5 star. Wine selection the same.
